No Seating Chart account is planned to be required to create classrooms, add classes and students, arrange seating, or use the core app.
What that means
You should not need to create another username or password simply to make a seating chart useful.
The app is purchased through the App Store, but an Apple Account used for App Store purchases and device services is separate from a Seating Chart account.
Backup & Transfer uses a backup file that the teacher deliberately creates and moves. It does not create a Seating Chart account or developer-operated synchronization service.
School-managed iPads
A school may manage installation, backups, sharing, and security through its own Apple and device-management systems. Seating Chart does not replace those school policies.
