Period 2 Biology is open in Roster with no students yet.
Choose Import Roster to add a class list from a spreadsheet file.
The orientation screen explains supported files, useful columns, and privacy before any roster changes are made.
In the real app, Choose Roster File opens Files so the teacher can select their own CSV, tab-delimited, or Excel roster. This tutorial uses fictional data only.
Choose Roster File. For this tutorial, the visible action injects the fictional Period 2 Biology roster instead of opening Files.
Seating Chart reads the file and automatically maps ordinary headers such as Student ID, Roster Name, Given Name, and Family Name.
Move through the mapping to the Import Preview. The preview confirms what will happen before data changes.
The preview is ready to create twenty-four fictional Students and Enrollments while leaving seat choices for later.
Tap Import to apply the reviewed roster plan.
Roster Imported confirms that all twenty-four fictional Students were added successfully.
Acknowledge the result to return to the Class roster.
Import offers a direct handoff to Seating. Choose Cancel Seating to finish this tutorial in the completed Roster.
Switch back to Roster after the import handoff returns to the Seating Chart.
The twenty-four Students are now visible in the Period 2 Biology Roster and ready for seating.
The roster import is complete.
